Taq Polymerases

Taq DNA Polymerase: It is widely used as a robust PCR polymerase.  Since Taq lacks the 3' to 5' proofreading exonuclease activity, the DNA synthesis fidelity of this polymerase is relatively low.  

 

Taq plus DNA Polymerase: It is a combination of two thermostable DNA polymerases. This specially formulated Taq improves the fidelity and increases the amplification length of the DNA fragments, while retaining the DNA synthesis power of the Taq Polymerase.  Most of the amplified DNA fragments have a 3´A overhanging. However, a small percentage of the amplified DNA fragments are blunt-ended.  

 

Taq-Red DNA Polymerase: It contains an inert red dye as a tracer, and can be used just as the regular Taq DNA Polymerase.  No extra preparation or protocol modifications are needed. In addition to its general use in PCR, Taq Red DNA Polymerase is an ideal choice for high-throughput applications. The unique formulation of the Taq Red DNA Polymerase increases the density of the reaction mix for gel loading. Following the PCR reaction, samples can be directly loaded onto an agarose gel, without the need for a loading buffer.

 

Buffer: Four different buffers are offered for various PCR applications.  

10X Taq SD Buffer: 200 mM Tris-HCl (pH8.8), 100 mM KCl, 160 mM (NH₄)₂SO₄, 15 mM MgCl2, 1.0% Triton X-100 and enzyme stabilizer.This is a standard buffer for most applications.

 

10X Taq DF Buffer: 200 mM Tris-HCl (pH8.8), 100 mM KCl, 160 mM (NH₄)₂SO₄, 15 mM MgCl_2, and enzyme stabilizer.

 

10X Taq HY Buffer: 200 mM Tris-HCl (pH8.8), 500 mM KCl, 20 mM MgCl₂, 20% DMSO, 0.1% Tween-20, and enzyme stabilizer.

 

10X Taq EX Buffer: 500 mM Tris-HCl (pH8.8), 160 mM (NH₄)₂SO₄, 20 mM MgCl₂, 20% DMSO 1% Tween-20 and enzyme stabilizer.
